I drive an old 1996 Honda Civic. I always have a power inverter with me, especially in today's world. The inverter I have is so big and so old that I'm shocked it still works. Still, I needed an inverter that has USB and C ports, as that's how almost everything is powered nowadays.I was so shocked by how small but mighty this power inverter is. I tested it using every power source, and they all worked beautifully. I needed my grow light outside for a while, mostly because it's so bright, and I was working at dusk. It worked like I plugged the cord into a power outlet. I used it to charge my laptop while driving. I used the C port to charge my cell phone, and the USB port to run a portable little washing machine. It charged everything just fine. The machine makes zero noise. I love the on/off switch in the back. I've never had that in any of my power converters, so that's a cool feature.I've never owned a car from the 2000s, and I hear they don't have a lighter power source anymore. I want nothing to do with that. I've always used the lighter and a power inverter as a power source in every car I've owned and will always do so. Right now, this inverter is $19, and I think that's a fantastic value for this mighty little power source.
This BESTEK 200W power inverter has been a total game changer for road trips and daily use. It easily converts my car’s 12V outlet to 110V, letting me charge my laptop, phone, and other devices without any issues. The PD 30W USB-C and QC18W USB-A ports are super fast—I love how quickly everything powers up.It’s compact, well-built, and fits perfectly in my car without taking up much space. I also appreciate the safety features and certifications, which give me peace of mind while using it. Whether you’re traveling, working remotely, or just need reliable power on the go, this inverter delivers also very well made light weight, and affordable Highly recommend!
I have an older model car with neither a USB-A nor a USB-C port on the dashboard or in the rear seat area. The only thing that can be used for electronics is the cigarette lighter. This power inverter provides both a USB-A, a USB-C and a 110-V plug. It is 200W, so we can run/charge three small devices if needed. This will be perfect for family car trips. I had never heard of the BESTEK brand, but they have multiple power inverters, all with good reviews. This one is the smallest and least expensive in their line. In hindsight, I would probably choose one with pure sine wave to protect the electronics, but that's double the price of this one. This one is excellent as a backup for car trips -- and is a generation improvement from the one USB-A cigarette lighter adapter
Works great. Nice and small, Charges my laptop no problem while also charging my cell through usb-c.
Compact, easy to store and powers 42" tv in our boat with no issues.
I have used it to charge my laptop several times, even while I was using it. It can charge my phone and iPad smoothly. Its performance fully meets expectations, especially considering the money I spent. It has a compact structure and is very suitable for my car. The plug can be firmly inserted into the car's power socket, and it remains cool even after long use. For anyone who needs to be powered on the go, this is a good choice. The only drawback is that it makes some noise when running.
Good
Worked great..
Very good
My shed solar setup runs panel → charge controller → battery. It's small enough that I don't have space for anything bigger than an under-dash inverter, but I still wanted occasional AC outlets for things like a radio or a fan. This Bestek inverter did exactly what I needed.I connected it to my charging system and tested it out right away. I plugged in a fairly large blower-style fan and ran it for about an hour — the fan had no trouble spinning from what is probably a modified sine wave, and the inverter itself stayed very cool the whole time. The two USB ports also worked fine. They delivered enough power to charge up my phone without any issues. It's small enough to keep in a car glove box if you need to charge light electronic devices on the road. I've used other Bestek inverters in the past and haven't had problems with them, so this one felt familiar. For a small off-grid system or light automotive use where you just need a little bit of AC power every once in a while, this does the job. The extra USB ports are a bonus since I never seem to have enough.
Road trips get messy when everyone's devices start dying, so having a reliable setup in the car is essential. This little gadget plugs right into the cigarette lighter and gives you actual wall outlets plus fast-charging USB ports. It handles laptops and phones at the same time without overheating or making a ton of loud fan noise. The compact design fits nicely out of the way, which keeps the console area from looking like a chaotic birds nest of cords. For under $20, it's a really good price for the amount of utility you get.
It runs very well in my car. It is indeed very convenient, especially when you need to charge your laptop and mobile phone on the road. Moreover, it is small in size and can be easily placed in the car without taking up too much space. And it is very reliable every time you use it. When using it, it doesn't get too hot to the touch. In short, it is a very practical vehicle accessory. Especially if you often travel or use the vehicle as an office. My only complaint is that the cable is slightly shorter than the ideal length.
The appearance is a bit unusual, with a combination of aluminum and plastic construction. While it may not look particularly premium, the aluminum housing seems to help with heat dissipation, which is a nice touch. In terms of ease of use, it couldn’t be much simpler. Just plug it into your vehicle’s 12V outlet and it’s ready to go. I’ve used it primarily for devices that require a traditional AC outlet, and it handled my Macbook charger without any issues. I didn’t experience any throttling or power interruptions, which gives me confidence in its charging capability. The noise level has also been perfectly acceptable. That said, I haven’t pushed it anywhere near its maximum capacity, so my experience is limited to lighter-duty applications. As for reliability, it appears to work well. The power cable feels a bit thinner than I would prefer, even though it has performed without problems so far. The unit itself is also somewhat bulky, but it still fit comfortably in my vehicle and didn’t create any major issues.Overall, I have no significant complaints. While I probably wouldn’t depend on it for heavy use, it works well for everyday charging needs and occasional AC-powered devices. For the price, it’s a solid option that I would still recommend.
I've been occasionally using this power inverter in my truck for the past month and a half. I basically need it when I go on some long road trips, etc and need to charge my laptop and other small devices when I don't readily have an outlet available to charge my stuff. This plugs in conveniently into the 12V cigarette lighter port. It's got USB charger ports as well as an outlet for your laptop. I would stick with lower wattages that this device can handle, not really much bigger than a laptop or it may shut off on you for safety. The cooling fan is quiet and the inverter has been really reliable when I've needed it. I'm impressed with its compact size because there isn't a ton of room on or in my truck's center console for a bunch of stuff. It's handled charging my laptop and camera batteries with ease.I also REALLY like that this has an aluminum shell, no cheap plastic parts or casing that can overheat and catch fire if overworked. And I also really appreciate that this is ETL certified with a 2 year warranty cause GOOD LORD the last thing I'd never want is a spontaneous combustion of this thing while I'm in the middle of driving on the highway in the middle of nowhere.
Perfect for my car charging needs
I picked this up because having a normal outlet in the car is still useful once in a while. The 200W limit is enough for small electronics, chargers, and some laptop adapters, but it is not for heavy appliances. The USB C PD port and USB A fast charging port are honestly what I use most. It plugs into the car outlet and is simple to use. The size is reasonable, so it does not feel like a huge box sliding around. I like that it has ETL and FCC certification listed, because cheap inverters can be sketchy. It worked well for charging phones, handhelds, and a laptop charger. For road trips and emergency use, it is a nice thing to keep in the car.
I got this inverter mainly for road trips and charging smaller electronics in the car, and so far it has done a really good job. For it's size I'm quite surprised at how well it works. I've used cigarette lighter invertors in the past but they have been much bigger and bulkier, this is by far the most compact one I've used. It feels well made too, with a metal body that stays fairly cool during use.So far I’ve used it for charging my phone and a tablet and haven't had any issues. The USB-C fast charging is especially handy, and the AC outlet works well, you can even just plug a fast charger into the mains outlet and that will fast charge your phone too. It has a built in fan to keep things cool under load and it is fairly quiet. You can hear it under load, but it’s nowhere near loud enough to be annoying during a drive. Just make sure it has good ventilation. That said, I would keep expectations realistic with the power output. It’s excellent for everyday electronics and travel use, but I wouldn’t rely on it for larger laptop power bricks. For a basic travel charging though, it’s convenient, compact, and easy to keep in the vehicle without taking up too much space. At 19.99 which is the price at time of my review
I’ve been using this BESTEK power inverter for about two weeks on car trips, and the compact size delivers surprising capability. The 200W continuous output handles small electronics and charging needs without bulk. The combination of AC outlet, 30W USB-C, and 18W USB-A ports charges multiple devices simultaneously. I’ve powered my laptop while charging my phone and tablet during long drives. The USB-C PD fast charging keeps devices topped up quickly. The all-aluminum construction stays cool during operation. No plastic smell or concerning heat buildup even under sustained use. The metallic finish looks clean in my car’s interior. The compact 3.7 x 2.5 x 0.9 inch size sits flush in the cab without creating clutter. Smaller than my phone and easy to store when not needed. The 0.5 pound weight adds virtually nothing to travel bags. The adaptive cooling fan adjusts speed based on temperature. When charging small devices, it runs nearly silent. Under heavier loads, the fan increases appropriately without being obnoxiously loud. The comprehensive safety protections provide peace of mind. Short circuit, overload, and temperature protection safeguard connected devices. The cigarette lighter plug connects easily and fits securely. No loose connections or intermittent power issues. The ETL and FCC certifications add quality assurance. The 2-year warranty backs the purchase. For anyone needing portable AC power and fast USB charging in their vehicle without bulky inverters, this compact unit delivers practical capability with quality construction.
Item: BESTEK Power Inverter DC 12V to AC 110V - 200W Car Plug Adapter Outlet PD 30W USB-C & QC18W USB-A Fast Charging Port - Car Charger CigaretteProvides A/C, USB-A and USB-C power all in one small form-factor package. The various plug in options provide enough power, 200w, and the ports I need to keep my phone, tablet and laptop or anything else I might have need of charged when out and about. Installation is as easy as plugging it into aux outlet. I like that I also don't have to worry about bringing along extra adapters when traveling, just the appropriate cables, excepting whatever I may plug into the A/C port. When not needed, it's small enough to stash away until later on when it is required. It has a durable build to it with its aluminum construction and It runs very quiet. The cable is just long enough for me to keep the inverter on the floor of the truck just in front of the center console of the truck when it's out of the way.
This inverter works well for basic power needs in the car. The output is stable when charging devices like a laptop or phone, and the built in cooling fan helps manage heat during use with low noise. It has both USB C and USB A ports, which is convenient for different types of devices. One feature I appreciate is the safety certification, with ETL marking from a NRTL recognized testing lab. The size is compact enough to keep in the car without taking much space. it is a practical and reliable option for powering small electronics on the go.
I bought this inverter for trips in the car and just in time because the last one we had finally gave up.My family and I make frequent 11+ hour drives to visit relatives, and not being able to charge the kids' devices is something you definitely don't want to deal with halfway through a trip. My daughter likes to bring her laptop and my son brings his tablet. Not a huge power draw, but our car is lacking in USB ports and has no built-in outlets. Our typical setup involves plugging the inverter into the cigarette lighter and running a power strip from the inverter to the back seat. From there the kids can plug in whatever device they want, keeping everything charged throughout the trip. With this new inverter we have the same setup and delivery of power, but with a smaller form factor and noticeably less heat generation. The old unit would start to get warm and eventually hot as the trip went on. This new unit stays mostly cool and only gets slightly warm to the touch. Its also extremely quiet compared to our old inverter. I can barely hear the fan when compared to our old unit. The weight of this unit is also less than our previous one which along with its small size makes it easy to store in the car. All of the devices that support fast charging, including mine and my wife's phones, work without any issues. Even with everything plugged in at once, this inverter doesn't seem to be working very hard.If you are like us and need reliable power in a smaller or older vehicle that doesn't come equipped with modern charging ports or outlets, I would highly recommend this inverter.
