This 400W BESTEK inverter has been powering a pump on a closed-loop solar-driven hydroponic system for over a year now. It's been outdoors in southern Arizona weather (37F / 2C to 105F / 40C). Honestly, I expected the fan to get noisy and seize from dust in our desert air. Not so. I even bought a spare 400W BESTEK Pure Sine Wave Inverter in case there was a catastrophic failure. It's still sitting on the shelf. Overall I am very happy with this inverter - and I highly recommend it!

Outstanding. Powers a 140W adapter for Macbook Pro with no problems. Also tested with a DeWalt charger and solid there too. Tested with 2018 Tesla.

Very pleased with the power in this little inverter! I use this to keep my high-demand laptop charged and available. I am pleasantly surprised that it handles that and more, especially considering how small and inexpensive it is. Quieter than most other inverters I’ve had and appears to be a good quality product.

I can’t speak to its lifespan yet, but initially I am impressed with the build quality and quiet operation. When I say quiet I mean QUIET. It’s much quieter than a 150 watt inverter I have been using. It’s also much larger. (See photo: smaller 150 watt is on top of this one.)Something to consider with an inverter is continuous watts. With nothing plugged in the readout on my “solar generator” ie power bank reads 7 watts and with the fridge plugged in it keeps a more constant 11ish or so watt output rather than the wild swings from 4 watts up to 80 using the smaller 150 watt inverter. Maybe that’s a benefit of sine wave technology? I have no idea.I chose this model because of its design. It just seems more “professional” and less gimmicky. It doesn’t have a weird shape and isn’t brightly colored. It looks like how an inverter should look. So far I am impressed and glad I chose this Bestek model over their other similar sized sine wave inverter.

I have several standard 12VDC to 120VAC inverters (which for the most part are worthless) and had long wanted to try a true 60Hz sinewave inverter. The BESTEK 400W Power Inverter is the answer I've been looking for.My bench oscilloscope is on the fritz so I did not get the opportunity to test for a sinewave pattern but I did test the frequency with several meters and for the most part the stability was akin to mains voltage at the house.Connecting a guitar and bass amplifier with a combined current draw of just under 400 watts to the inverter was no challenge. These would have objected very loudly to a non stabilized inverter. It performed perfectly with little voltage drop and no variation of frequency. I did not have any other sinewave critical devices handy that would have surged to the 800 watt claim but given how well it operated I don't doubt that it would handle reasonable surges quite well.During operation the unit did not heat up much at all although I didn't drive the amps at full tilt for very long wanting to spare my neighbors pain and suffering, but I expect that moderate loads would be fine for extended periods.USB power was fine as well. All in all I was very impressed and my only minor critiques are having a fixed power cord instead of 3 way screw connectors and the lack of mounting tabs for a fixed installation such as a solar project.

I mainly got this inverter because I’m on the go with my electronics on a regular basis (cameras, laptops, lights, portable printer, etc.). Inevitably, there’s always something that needs charged or recharged. It’s nice to be able to use the car’s outlet to charge up or even to use my laptop while away from home.I like that this power inverter offers a pure sine wave which is important for longevity of electronics. The inverter is small and can be tucked just about anywhere in the car when not in use. The inverter is a solid piece of equipment. It has a metal exterior and good construction. The cord is a heavy thickness and the plug looks like it is well made and not going to fall apart. There is an on/off switch on the unit. You can hear a little noise when using it (I think it’s fan noise).I’ve had inverters in the past and they had plastic housing and no designated outlets for USB-C and USB-A. This is a definite upgrade for me. I like that I don’t have to have an extra converter from a plug to the USB ports. I can also see this inverter being handy during power outages or emergencies. Just hook up a battery to a female cigarette outlet cable and connect the inverter to power an appliance or other needs. The inverter protects against overheating and overloading, and there is a built in 60 amp fuse with automatic-shutdown.I am very happy with the inverter after using it several times. I would recommend it. Five stars.

Impressive power inverter! I ran this through it's paces testing it in the house using a new motor cycle battery. First test, I have a huge heating pad pinned to my office chair, the pad covers my entire back from neck to lower spine area. I ran the pad on high putting a good load on the inverter, first thing I noticed was the heat was much more evenly spread across the pad, never felt like this before. I ran it for a hour and it worked flawlessly, and very quiet too, no noise at all from the built in cooling fan inside the inverter, had to check to see if it was really working, it was! I've never had that heating pad work that well, the pure sine wave must have been making the difference. Next I hooked up a 120 V LED light, I was looking for any hint of flickering, there was none, just pure even light. It's very well made, thick aluminum plate all around, heavy duty cords. Nice inverter, this is a good one! You won't regret picking this one! Five Stars!

Dual 110V AC outlets, a USB port and a style C charger that plugs into the car lighter port. It is a bit bulky, and the cord is not very long, but long enough it can sit on the floor. The fan is quiet and when we used it ( for about an hour) it did not get hot or even mildly warm. There is an on/off switch on the back. It will continue to run when the car is turned off (at least in my car) so be sure to not deplete your car battery by leaving it on. There is a light to let you know it is on.We have gone on road trips and camping and having an extra outlet is a life saver. Not everything is USB yet. When we go tubing, now we have an outlet for our air compressor and will not have to stop anywhere. I can even take a real coffee pot camping! So excited.A good buy, definitely recommend.

I've had several of these inverters over the years, using them in vehicles to provide AC for various charging or power needs. I was always hesitant to plug in a sensitive item like a TV or laptop because they were all modified sign wave inverters and a lot of electronics don't like that or can be damaged by it. This one is really nice with two AC outputs and a USB and USB-C port right on the front. I will be replacing the one in my Jeep with this one since it is way more versatile and safer to use with the electronics. NOTE. I had just put this in my Jeep when I was notified that the power was being shut off so the power company could replace a pole on the street. I pulled the inverter back out and rigged up a battery to the inverter so I could power up my laptop in the house and keep working for the day, put the hot spot on the phone and good to go. It's been running for several hours and has charged the laptop up completely. The price for this full wave inverter is great and I will be replacing the other two, older technology inverters I am using in my other vehicles.

Works great. Slight fan noise but not loud. I confirmed with an oscilloscope that it is indeed a pure sinewave inverter before using it with some very picky electronics. It powered them great without issue.I like the metal case since this will be traveled.

This inverter works well with a couple of exceptions: the fan runs even when no load is connected to the inverter and the power consumption with no load is about 10 watts (.70 ampere at 13.6 volts). So it's not that efficient with no load or light loads. It cannot draw more than about 180 watts from a car cigarette lighter as most cars have a 15 ampere fuse on this circuit. So if you need more than 180 watts output from the inverter don't power it from most car cigarette lighter outlets.

I like that it has 2 types of USB ports. If you need more power buy a bigger one but it will be noisy. Or get a Jackery Power Station if you want to run power tools OFF the grid.I use it to run the camera for a baby monitor, that requires USB/AC power, when it's away from a wall outlet.

This works perfectly with a 2025 Tesla Model 3. The newer Teslas have a 16V accessory socket that isn't compatible with many standard 12V accessories. I paired this with an AC-to-DC converter (which has a lighter socket adapter) to power my inflatable stand-up paddle board (iSUP) pump. I did not want to get a battery powered pump, they're a fire risk. Hope this helps.

Used this inverter to power a portable o2 generator for over 2,500 miles over 4 days. Worked perfectly. Didn’t overheat. Ran smooth.
